If you like competition, and you LOVE Pokemon Go, there is a way for you to help our troops while you hunt for the porkiest Pokemon you can find.
You can start from ANYWHERE in the USA just as long as you show up at the finish line (Texas Frog Fest HQ aka Coconuts Beach Bar & Grill) located at 1021 Hwy 87 Crystal Beach Texas.  before 5pm for weigh in.
Your 3 heaviest Pokemon caught that day will be calculated for total weight. Just like a fishing tournament, the winner will be the trainer with the most weight.
Winner receives 10% of the total registration fees… Max $500
Other prizes will be awarded for the following:
– Best costume
– Heaviest SINGLE Pokemon
– Lightest SINGLE Pokemon
– Tallest SINGLE Pokemon
– Shortest SINGLE Pokemon
and a 50/50 pot drawing for the team who had the winning trainer.

Age limit is set for 10 years to 99 years old.

In order to play you must register and you will certainly need the Pokemon GO app..

You CAN begin to hunt your Pokemon at anytime after 12:01 AM Saturday Aug 20th but you MUST be at weigh in location (Coconuts Bar and Grill located at 1021 Hwy 87 Crystal Beach Texas 77650) no later than 5pm local time for your Pokemon to be eligable.

Texas Frog Festival is a 501c3 organization that is the primary fundraiser of the Lone Survivor Foundation Crystal Beach facility for veterans and their families who are dealing with the after effects of combat or other traumatic events during active duty service. Your participation directly contributes to this organization’s continued mission to serve those who have served us.
